2012 NFL Alumni Indy Chapter Charity Sporting Clays

Teams will consist of a five-person squad made up of four amateur shooters and one NFL Alumni player member or other sport related celebrity shooter. Team Sponsors will draw upon registration to determine their celebrity shooter.
The teams will be shooting for team awards, including a three day – two night stay at Caesar’s Palace for each member and a guest of each member for the First Place team, and all participants will receive a plethora of event favors as a participant of the event. Second and Third Place teams will be awarded cash and special prizes. The winning teams will be recognized during the post event party and on the Indy Chapter Section of the NFL Alumni website.

Entry Fee: $750.00 per four-person amateur team. Groups and corporations can organize their own team or individuals may enter for $190.00. Event Management will blend single entries to complete teams. Browning Gun Company will furnish shotguns the day of the event, however you are welcome to bring your shotgun if you wish. Proceeds from the Sport Clays will benefit Riley Children’s Hospital, Methodist Foundation, Target Busters Scholastic Clay Target Team & Kipp Knowledge is Power Foundation. You may pay your entry fee by Visa, Master Card, American Express or Check. Teams MUST pay in advance prior to the event.

Team entry includes: Complementary basics of shooting lesson prior to tournament by Browning Pro-Staff shooter and a NSCA Master Class shooter Bob Self. One day of sporting clays tournament targets, team favors, food provided by Buffalo Wild Wings, followed by a post party and special awards presentation immediately following the tournament in the Pavilion at the Gun Club. This event is always a popular event that is celebrity packed leading up to the “Big Game” and WILL SELL OUT. Don’t miss your opportunity to be apart of this historical event. NOTE: Only 12 and 20-gauge guns are allowed for this event. Shot sizes allowed are 7&1/2, 8 and 9 only.
Twelve and 20-gauge shells will be provided by Winchester Ammunition the day of the event at Indiana Gun Club. Eye and ear protection are mandatory the day of the shoot.

NFL Alumni, MCCOY invite adults to Family Engagement Event

The NFL Alumni Indianapolis chapter announced a partnership today with Marion County Commission On Youth (“MCCOY”) to participate in and sponsor a Family Engagement Event on Thursday March 10, 2011. The goal of the event is to empower parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, school faculty and other caring adults to play an active, positive and strong role in the success of their students.

“We are very excited to align our charitable efforts with an impactful organization like MCCOY” said Bill Schultz, president of the Indianapolis chapter and former Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman. “This partnership goes hand-in-hand with the NFL Alumni’s mission of Caring For Kids and positively changing the lives of youth.”

During the event, attendees will hear from Randy Minniear, NFL Alumni Charities – Chairman of the Board of Directors, as the Keynote Speaker. Minniear is an Alum of Broad Ripple High School and Purdue University, and former NFL standout with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns. The event will feature a light dinner, parent panel, round table discussion and conclude with a computer to be raffled off to one lucky attendee. The technology gift has been graciously donated by event sponsor Indiana University Health in Indianapolis.

Family Engagement Event details:

Who: Families and caring adults in Central Indiana

What: An evening dedicated to celebrating and increasing the knowledge, influence and attentiveness of parents and families of students of all ages.
